Operon provides full genome pre-spotted microarray slides (OpArrays) for Human, Mouse, Rat and Arabidopsis. The OpArrays are spotted on highly sensitive super clean epoxy coated slides to provide very low background with superb sensitivity. OpArrays are conveniently supplied in a pre-processed, ready-to-use format that saves researchers valuable time. OpArrays feature AROS oligo probes, the most trusted long oligo probes for high quality microarray experiments. Oligo probe attachment to the slide is accomplished through an amino linker. This strategy ensures that the oligo probes are freely available for hybridization and significantly reduces steric effects, making microarray experiments with OpArrays very sensitive.
 AROS long oligo probes are designed with Operon’s proprietary software, which selects unique probes for each gene considering a large number of design parameters including Tm normalization, cross-hybridization, and binding energy among other factors. High, uniform probe Tm enables high stringency experimental conditions. Operon AROS are also carefully selected to have very little secondary structure, avoid low complexity sequences, and are preferentially located to the 3’-end of each gene to accommodate a variety of target labeling strategies.
 OpArrays are manufactured in collaboration with Microarrays Inc. a leader in contact printing technology with streamlined very high throughput spotting capacity.
