BIODESIGN International has introduced additional infectious
disease recombinant antigens for Hepatitis, Herpes Simplex Virus
(HSV), Human Immunodeficiency Virus I (HIV-I) and Treponema
pallidum.
The Hepatitis C Virus recombinants are produced in E. coli. One
includes the NS-5 region and the other includes the capsid,
NS-3, NS-4 and NS-5 regions.
Hepatitis E Virus products include the ORF2 antigen a.a.
403-461, the ORF2 antigen a.a. 633-659 and the ORF3 antigen a.a.
92-123.
The four Treponema pallidum recombinant products, all produced
in E. coli, are the p15, p17, p47 and the Treponemal membrane
protein A (TmpA).
HSV-1 glycoprotein G and HSV-2 glycoprotein G are produced in S.
cerevisiae. The HSV-2 recombinant includes sequences not present
in HSV-1.
HIV-1 envelope gp41 recombinant is also available and is
produced in S. cerevisiae.
