Influenza Antibodies & Antigens - Overview Press Release

BIODESIGN International® offers antibodies and antigens to Influenza. Some of the most widely studied human RNA viruses are Influenza Type A and Influenza Type B viruses. Influenza A & B strains are composed of two different proteins, hemagglutinin and neuraminidase. Matrix proteins line the inner aspects of the viral envelope and other internal proteins, polymerases and nucleoproteins, are associated with the viral RNA.

BIODESIGN’s antibodies to Influenza Type A include H1N1-Hemagglutinin, H1N1-Nucleoprotein, Phillipine, USSR, and Texas strains. Antigens to Influenza Type A include Taiwan, Shangdong and Texas strains.

BIODESIGN supplies Influenza Type B antibodies specific for Panama, Beijing, Yamagata, Hong Kong and Lee strains. Influenza Type B antigens are available for Quingdao and Hong Kong strains.

Depending on the Influenza product selected, applications may include immunoassay, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoblot and latex agglutination.
