QuantiTect SYBR Green PCR Master Mix is a premixed solution containing HotStarTaq DNA Polymerase, QuantiTect SYBR Green PCR Buffer, dNTPs (including dUTP for optional uracil-N-glycosylase treatment), SYBR Green I, and ROX (passive reference dye).

The QuantiTect SYBR Green PCR Kit provides highly sensitive amplification, allowing the accurate quantification of as few as 5 copies of template (see figure: "Sensitivity of SYBR Green Real-Time PCR"). Results are reproducible over a wide range of starting template amounts.

Sensitivity of SYBR Green Real-Time PCR

1 x 106 to 5 copies of a plasmid containing a fragment of the human CFTR gene were amplified in a background of 50 ng genomic DNA isolated from maize (maize does not contain the CFTR gene). Reactions were carried out on the ABI PRISM 7700 Detection System, using a SYBR Green PCR kit with a hot-start enzyme (Supplier AII) or the QuantiTect SYBR Green PCR Kit (QIAGEN).
