* QuantiTect Probe Master Mix is a premixed solution containing HotStarTaq DNA Polymerase, QuantiTect Probe PCR Buffer, dNTPs (including dUTP for optional uracil-N-glycosylase treatment, and ROX (passive reference dye).

Developing quantitative, real-time PCR and RT-PCR assays with fluorescent probes often requires extensive and time-consuming optimization. With the QIAGEN QuantiTect Probe PCR Kit, optimal results can be achieved the first time, using the recommended, pre-optimized primer and probe concentrations given in the protocols. This greatly minimizes the need to adjust reaction parameters.

Furthermore, a balanced combination of KCl and (NH4)2 SO4 in the specially formulated buffer provides a greater tolerance of variable magnesium concentrations so that, in most cases, the user does not need to experiment with different magnesium concentrations for each new target.
