The DNeasy 96 Tissue Kit is designed for rapid, high-throughput DNA isolation from rodent tails (see figure "High-Quality DNA from Every Sample") and other tissues. Direct lysis of tissue samples with QIAGEN Proteinase K avoids mechanical homogenization and reduces hands-on time (see below). The efficient DNeasy procedure and convenient 96-well format (see DNeasy Tissue System) eliminate the need for organic extraction, labeling of individual tubes, one-at-a-time pipetting, and DNA resuspension so that downstream applications such as PCR (see figure "Reliable PCR from Every Sample") can be completed on the same day.
Processing of DNeasy 96-well plates requires the use of the QIAGEN 96-Well-Plate Centrifugation System.
