LiquiChip Workstation

The LiquiChip Reader, Microplate handler, and Fluid Module make up the LiquiChip workstation.

State-of-the-art optics and fluidics lie at the heart of the LiquiChip Reader. Assay samples are aspirated, one after another, into the reader. LiquiChip beads are carried in a stream of LiquiChip System Fluid through the measurement cuvette where they are individually irradiated by the red classification and green reporter lasers. Fluorescence signals from the bead color-coding dyes and the reporter molecules attached to LiquiChip detection reagents are recorded simultaneously and digitally processed to translate the signals into quantitative data for each reaction.

The microplate handler allows automated loading and processing of samples from standard 96-well microplates, increasing throughput and allowing walkaway operation.

The fluid module allows processing of multiple microplates with no refilling of system-fluid bottles, and monitors system fluid levels ensuring that the instrument does not "run dry".

The LiquiChip system is backed by an extensive support network for applications and instrumentation. Each LiquiChip workstation comes with a 3 year warranty on parts and labor and a yearly preventive maintenance visit, guaranteeing peace-of-mind and ensuring optimal performance.
