POSITION SUMMARY

The General Manager, China, will report to the Chief Operations Officer and will be responsible for the operations and manufacturing of our products, from transferring products into production, to overseeing the fulfillment and delivery to new customers.  The General Manager will have full P&L responsibility for the site, providing leadership in manufacturing operations, manufacturing facilities, and engineering matters to ensures all decisions and practices are in accordance with GMP.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Drive execution of the operations and manufacturing strategies for Asia Pacific to support the company's goals and objectives and deliver on its vision.

Replicate workflow systems, operation sequences and processes to optimize production efficiency. 

Drive continuous improvement activities, strategy development and delivery, as well as supporting organizational development and cultural leadership.

Estimate manufacturing cost, determine cycle time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new product lines. 

Manage supply planning to manage inventory and enhance asset utilization.

Ensure exceptional product quality. 

Responsible for achieving world class on time delivery (OTD) for customers.

Responsible for optimizing material liability and finished goods inventory.

Own Demand Planning and incorporate both short-term and mid-term demand inputs into Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Validate that supplier material is on-hand and on-order to meet forecast.

Work cross functionally with people in Product Engineering, Product Marketing Logistics,

Customer Operations/Order Management and Quality.

Create a positive work climate where inter-departmental collaboration, coaching and performance feedback are continuous. Capable of clearly assigning objectives, clearly setting and measuring and monitoring progress, marshaling resources and handling competing priorities.

Frequent overseas travel expected (10-30%).

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

BS in Science related discipline: Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry.

10+ years of relevant work experience (Manufacturing Operations, New Product Introduction, etc.).

Expertise in manufacturing with management/associate director experience: GMP experience strongly preferred. Requires excellent project management skills with systematic approaches to problem solving. 

Ability to break down complex problems and tasks into activities capable of being performed by personnel. 

Experience with 6S and Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma Green belt or black belt preferred

Proven logic and decision-making abilities, critical thinking skills.

Demonstrated effective leadership.

Ability to work inter-departmentally and with customers. 

Eager to work in a small company startup environment, adapting to shifting priorities, and embracing change and continuous improvement.

 EDUCATION:  教育背景要求

·      Master's degree in Appropriate Life Science or similar field.

·      生命科学相关领域硕士学位。

COMPENSATION: 薪酬

·      Base Salary with Commission, and equity depending on experience
基本工资+佣金+其他收益(根据应聘者资历而定)
