As part of the global Lilly Research Laboratories IT (LRL IT) organization, the individual in this role is accountable to work with the LRL IT Research Dedicated group and broader IT components to implement specific local capabilities and global solutions at the LCRDC site in China, while also recommending and supporting solutions in support of the overall multi-site research plans of the company. This role will report directly to the Team Leader at the LCRDC site. The successful candidate for this Biology IT Systems Manager will be accountable to: • Work as an aligned and contributing member of the LRL IT Global Organization. • Understand the global and local LRL Research scientific/business with specific emphasis on Biology - and logistics-related systems. • Effectively work with business and IT peers to recommend and implement China and global IT projects in support of LRL’s Research mission. • Recommend, implement, and transition LRL Research to standardized processes by leveraging existing or emerging systems and minimize the overall IT assets. Job Responsibilities: • In supporting the discovery of small molecule novel therapies, the candidate will provide detailed NMR characterization expertise in a range of areas including: structure determination, stereochemistry elucidation, conformational analysis and probing molecular motion. The candidate will also have responsibility for rapid turnaround open access systems. • Pro–actively apply deep knowledge and act as a technical resource to deliver high quality solutions, process and problem solving on a wide range of structure determination challenges faced daily by the synthetic chemists.
