在作者排行中,排在首位的为美国戈登生命科学研究所的周国城(Kuo-Chen Chou),自2007年以来他共发表了17篇热门论文,包含了多种用于预测蛋白质位点的测序工具。排在前10位的华人科学家还包括:上海交通大学沈红斌(第四,13篇论文)、东华大学何吉欢(第六,10篇论文)以及美国乔治亚理工学院王中林(Zhong Lin Wang)(第十,9篇论文)。
