【编者按】如今要取得博士学位必需要有SCI文章，许多人因此纷纷投稿英文期刊。许多人在投稿英文期刊时会遇到这样或那样的问题，生物通将就这个问题为大家提供系列的文章。首先介绍的是一位审阅过200余篇稿、以英语为母语的审稿人写的中国人常范的错误，相信这些错误具有一定代表性，希望能够帮助各位正在为paper奋斗的莘莘学子们。
在上一篇中讲了如何避免一个过长的句子，现在讲讲在一个相对简单的句子中如何处理位置关系。通常要将一个句子的主要意思放在目的、定位或者原因的内容前面。中国人比较惯用的语法就是将目的、定位、原因、事例和情况等一些介绍因素放在前面。这样在英语中会被认为削弱了主要意思的重要性，让读者觉得作者不够直接。比如中文会说：为了**的目的，我们进行了**的研究。而英文则比较偏向于说：我们进行了**的研究，这样做的目的是**。还是看看具体的例子吧。
